Dirty Player
Are there any dirty players in the contest?
daniel181091 - this contestant has resorted to lame tactics by deleting other people's wiki's, and then spamming them with links to his own domain. This originally started during the nigritude ultramarine challenge, but the wiki community asked for this type of behaviour to stop, which people had the decency to do. This little kid has been contacted on numerous occassions, but still continues to delete content and spam to his domain. All for the sake of a link!

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Why are so many websites talking about Seraphim Proudleducks?
There is a new Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) contest currently in operation that was organised by Salmonbones. The objective is to reach the number one spot, for a website, in Google™ Search with the keyphrase "Seraphim Proudleduck". The webmaster in top position on 1st January, 2005, at 1am GMT, will be declared the winner.
2. Why use the keyphrase "Seraphim Proudleduck"?
Although the word Seraphim was a suggestion from the organisers girlfriend, a keyphrase was needed that returned zero results when searched for in Google™ Search, as this would prevent the overwhelming number of contest pages from interfering with legitimate websites within the rankings.
3. What do the words Seraphim and Proudleduck mean?
Seraphim - An order of celestial beings, specifically a special class of heavenly attendants of Yahweh's court. These guardians each have three pairs of wings; two that bear them up, two for veiling their faces, and two that cover their feet. In ecclesiastical poetry and art, a seraph is represented as one of a class of angels.
Proudleduck - This was a non-existant in the English language, but is actually used as a nickname for a football player from Sheffield Wednesday, namely Adam Proudluck.
4. What are the prizes on offer?
The webmaster that achieves the highest Google™ ranking for the keyphrase "Seraphim Proudleduck" will receive £1000. £300 will be awarded to second place, with £200 for third place. A bonus prize for the top ranked image using Google Images™ Search is also on offer, and will be a website with a PR7.
5. Who will judge the contest?
There will be 9 independent verifiers who will check the results from www.google.com, viewed in the UK, with safe-search off, on 1st January, 2005, at 1am GMT.
6. Are their any Rules we need to obey?
- You must link to http://www.salmonbones.co.uk/ the whole duration of the contest, but the anchor text is up to you.
- You must send an email to info@salmonbones.co.uk with your details, which includes a preferred Username, and a PayPal account email.
- Your chosen Username must be clearly visible on your contest page.
7. How many people are taking part in the contest?
When a contestant registers, they are assigned a UserID from Salmonbones. All these contestants have been added to this list for everyone to see who else is involved. The UserID is a numerical value that increases for each person, so the last name on the list will indicate the total number of contestants.
Please Note: It may not be up-to-date when you check!
8. How many days are remaining?
A fellow contestant has created a countdown counter that displays how many days are left until the end of the contest. It has been designed specifically for your seraphim proudleduck contest page(s).
